Trump doesn't seem to understand, and never seems able to learn, that if he bills himself as the "best" negotiator or deal-maker, all that has to happen is for the other side to stand their ground, and he's defeated. After all, you can't make deals with those who won't deal. Or those who won't deal in good faith, as he should have learned with that nut in North Korea. There he looks like a guy who just fell off the turnip truck.
It's almost funny, since he said he and Schumer and Pelosi were good friends and he could deal with them, whereas Ted Cruz obviously couldn't. Now they say Trump's going to take a page out of Obama's book and govern with a pen and a phone.
