Was she contractually obliged to do the Twilight movies?

If I am not mistaken, there are five of them. They're all rubbish. Absolute dog turd. So I wonder if she was contractually obliged to do them.

reply

I would expect she was. It does seem to be standard practice when trying to launch a franchise.

reply

I'm sure she was as were all or most of the cast, which is standard as you say, for a movie series or franchise. That said, the movies were a huge hit with fans of the books and of the movies, and a big money maker. Kristen helped make sure the movies were true to the books for the sake of fans.

THATS HARSH...THEY ARENT THAT BAD...TEEN ORIENTED, BIT MEDIOCRE,DEFINITELY NOT EVERYONES TASTE...STEWART,PATTINSON AND LAUTNER ARE ALL GOOD ACTORS AS WELL...THEY ARENT MY JAM EITHER...BUT I RECOGNIZE APPEAL FOR OTHERS.

I'm telling myself to not hold it against her because I enjoyed Underwater and Camp X Ray.

reply

Underwater was pretty good. I've already watched it a couple times.

reply

Underwater was a surprisingly good film. Crazy!

reply

She tore up and renegotiated each contract, until she became the highest paid actress in the world. Pretty smart.

reply

If you think the films are bad, the books are a million times worse, and that sentence rarely exits my lips. They are terrible! I have just tried to read the latest. She has rewritten Twilight, but from Edwards perspective instead of Bella’s... it is painful to read. Worse than the others. The movies were ok..

"The movies were ok.."

THATS THE BEST/BRIEFEST REVIEW OF THE FILMS EVER!🙂

re: "The movies were ok..".

Hey, KOWALSKI, you managed to actually include some Mixed Case in a response! Good for you! You're learning! Granted, it was a direct-quote from another post, but it's still tremendous progress in your ADDICTION to ALL-CAPS!

reply

Fascinating. I think the books are far better than the films. I never thought someone suggest the opposite lol Books are simple, trashy fun. The films are...fun because they're trashy lol
