There's no shortage of Leftist imbeciles.

reply

I used to like this guy, but he's turned into such an asshole. I don't care if a celebrity is liberal or conservative, but I care when they push their views on others and shame them.

reply

He even more jerk in real life than his character in Poor Things

reply

He was being his usual self on the red carpet for the Oscars. Pro-Palestine people were blocking the Oscars and celebs were having a hard time getting in including Ruffalo. When he finally arrived, he applauded them for blocking it, raised his fist in the air, and said "for humanity."

reply

Ruffalo is an idiot. Believe in every conspiracy that the Palestinians sell to him.

reply

Champagne socialist.

reply

As someone who isn't liberal or conservative, I find it strange that people say being a conservative is for the rich and being a liberal is for the poor, and yet these rich celebrities overwhelmingly vote liberal.

reply

To feel morally superior. It supposedly means they do understand the plight of the poor.

reply

I don't get it; all he says he wants a ceasefire, so that people, esp children, don't die. That makes him an asshole? Pushing this view, peace, on others is a bad thing?

reply

I wasn't referring to him being an asshole for calling for a ceasefire (but I could get into the problems with that). My issue is that he is blind to everything and pushes his views on everyone. For example: when Kyle Rittenhouse got aquitted, he was upset and sent out his condolences to the victims of his crime. One of the victims is a man named Joseph Rosenbaum who spent time in prison for molesting 5 preteen boys. In a tweet, Ruffalo referred to him as "Jojo" which was his nickname. He used the nickname to try to get sympathy for him. Another one of his victims was Anthony Huber who spent time in prison for strangling his brother and kicking his sister.

I don't care whether or not he cared for Kyle Rittenhouse, but Ruffalo should stop spreading his condolences to criminals especially a pedophile. Ruffalo often criticizes Trump supporters on social media. I can't stand Trump and even I roll my eyes.

reply

Well, ok, I'm not from the US and not familiar with most of the names you mentioned. I was referring to his explanation on the red carpet.

I agree that even only wanting a ceasefire can also be problematic. That's how complicated the situation in the Middle East is, unfortunately.

reply

The thing that people forget was that there actually was a temporary ceasefire, but Hamas broke it within 15 minutes and then Israel retaliated because of that. I don't think a ceasefire will do anything.

reply

There's no justification for murdering non-combatant women and children in the name of rooting out terrorists. The supposed moral outrage about October 7th is that non-military civilians were killed, which is exactly what Israel is doing right now, and in much greater numbers. Israel tries to draw distinctions between purposeful killing of civilians and civilian collateral damage, but that's a flimsy, totally unbelievable excuse. Even worse, the US and Israel now spread the propaganda that all people in Gaza are legitimate targets because about 59% of the voting age residents there voted for Hamas. If that makes one a legitimate target, then nobody in the USA has any moral justification to be outraged by 9/11. If Israel wants to carry out their war this way, they ought to be doing it purely on their own dime. The USA is culpable for their actions.

reply

Palestine is the birthplace of Judaism and Christianity. Somehow it has now become an overwhelming Muslim country but we're supposed to pretend like Jews are the occupiers. Israel actually agreed to the two-state solution more than once, but Palestine keeps rejecting it.

Only two countries in the Middle East are not majority Muslim: Israel and Cyprus. Israel is the only Jewish majority country in the World. There are 22 Muslims countries in the World. Surrounded by Israel in literally every direction, are Muslim counties. In these Muslims countries contain: Hamas, Hezbollah, Boko Haram, ISIS, the Taliban, the Houthi and Al-Qaeda. All of which are Islamic terrorist organizations. Any attack on Israel by any of those surrounding countries is going to be met with retaliation. The Hamas commander Mahmoud Al-Zahar said that after Israel, the entire planet will be under Islamic rule. The fact that people will blame you the USA for all of these Islamic terrorist countries is strange to me.

You should talk to Boromir who is in this site. He's member of the IDF and can tell you about his first hand experience.

reply

People in the west didn't understand that for Hamas, Hezbollah and some Muslims countries it's a religious war and not conflict that can be solved with peace treaty. We are already starting to see their takeover in Europe. The Western liberalism is contributing to its own demise. People just don't understand how the world works.

reply

It's crazy to think that there are less Jews in the world today than there were before the Holocaust, but these pro-Palestine people are trying to convince us that the Jews are the ones taking over.

No one murder children and women in Gaza, civilians been killed (not murder) are part of war. The ratio of casualties between terrorists and innocent civilians is one of the lowest in wars - especially in crowded areas. And the numbers of the dead in Gaza are exaggerated for propaganda purposes. The IDF does a lot (too much if you ask me), sometimes at the risk of its own soldiers, to prevent injury to innocents.

The only ones who murdered innocent civilians, burned people alive, cut off the limbs of small children, raped women (including inserting sharp objects into their genitals), kidnapped men, women, old people and children (including a one year old!!!), the Nazis even murdered the animals around the kibbutzim. In one case they took the bodies of little children and hung them on a clothesline . I saw some of the sights with my own eyes. And I tell you something else, not only Hamas members participated in the massacre, but also civilians, including women, teenagers and children. So what we do in Gaza is denazification.

I also been in Gaza, I was in a lot of houses, there wasn't a single apartment that didn't have incendiary materials and weapons. In quite a few homes we found Hitler's Mein Kampf. In many civilian building, from hospitals, kindergartens to schools and UNRA buildings, we found weapons depots, Hamas headquarters and underground tunnels. They used them as human shields.

They did a survey in Judea, Samaria and Gaza after the massacre. 75% wants Hamas to control Gaza. In fact, after the massacre there was an increase in support for Hamas both in Judea and Samaria and in Gaza. 90% deny that atrocities such as rape or abuse were committed. Most Palestinians support the massacre (82% in Judea and Samaria and 57% in Gaza).

Israel is making a mistake by separate the Palestinians from Hamas. Allies did not separate Germany from the Nazis, Israel had to treat all of Gaza as an enemy.

I'm probably in the minority when I say I preferred Edward Norton as Bruce Banner/HULK than Mark Ruffalo but Disney wanted a Yes man and not someone who's difficult to work with like Norton apparently is and I say if it makes the product better, why shouldn't he offer his input??

reply

He's no Bruce Banner between the ears.
