What happened

with him?

reply

He was recently in a very successful Netflix film The Haunting of Hill House. He gets consistent work.

Thank you for the information. However, since E.T. until now (whit this new serie) I think he has not worked a lot in the film industry (please correct me if I am wrong). I just wonder why.

reply

He's done 30 movies or so since E.T. and some of them are not that obscure.

reply

Legends of the Fall. Gangs of New York.

reply

After E.T. he did some more movies but became disillusioned with the "razzle dazzle Hollywood kid actor scene", though, and turned down several movie offers (he was the first choice for Wil Wheaton's role in "Stand by Me", for example). When he returned to the screen, he did more intense, darker roles (the one I particularly remember was his playing the turncoat in Gangs of New York). All in all, I would say he has done very good for himself.

reply

Ok, it seems that he has not "disappeared".. it just that I have not heard much about him in the last years but I am glad that everything is fine with him.

reply

for me he will allways be Elliot.... ;-)

reply

He’s been getting consistent work. His performances with in Flanagan’s series has been top notch.

I wish they would give him some role were he could win an Oscar.

reply

He's a wonderful actor for sure. I would love to see him take on a role that would earn him an Oscar win.

It's weird knowing he lives within 5 miles of me. I saw him once in our local Safeway but I didn't approach him or anything. He was just another guy buying some food. 😊

reply

Nice, we had a small talk some years ago in Dortmund. It was a short conversation but he was very polite.

reply

👍

reply

He proclaimed in a interview back in the early 2000s that he faced a lot of rejections and that securing work became consistently harder. Good for him sticking with it.
