universally hated just because of one movie

this guy will appear on "worst director of all time lists" over one single movie. comic book nerds are some of the most toxic people in existence.

reply

Any film fan would know he made plenty of good movies and he probably only made Batman and Robin for a huge payday. That doesn’t make him a director to be hated.

reply

go anywhere on the internet, especially channel awesome or doug walker websites, and people only know him for batman and robin. lindsey ellis even called him the 2nd worst director in history behind uwe boll and said he should've been a script supervisor. it makes me so angry, have people not seen falling down or tigerland???

reply

Channel Awesome is not the best place to go to for serious commentary. Even their internet cred is fading, especially after it’s been revealed Walker is a narcissist, the guy who played Jew Wario was a creep, etc.

reply

Also I consider Lost Boys and St. Elmo's Fire good movies

reply

The guy made some pretty damn good movies, I really like 8MM and The Lost Boys. It’s a damn shame he’ll always be remembered for Batman and Robin

reply

All his movies were mediocre at best...

reply

Batman & Robin wasn't even that bad. It's silly, but entertaining, and not really in a "so bad it's good" kind of way. I had more fun watching it than some of the latest Marvel movies like Eternals and Shang-Chi.

reply

I will always give him props for Falling Down, 8mm and Lost Boys.

reply

The only thing I didn’t like about The Lost Boys was I thought those two kids from the comic book store were annoying.

reply

Yeah there are plenty of things to nitpick, its not a perfect film, but its entertaining and has become iconic.
