Here’s the thing: While Hewitt is an attractive woman, she’s a terrible actor. Her range is limited, it’s difficult to take her seriously in dramatic roles, and she has almost no comedic timing. Basically her entire career depending upon her being beautiful, and that’s an asset whose returns diminish with time. Because she was popular, and because she probably didn’t see the need to do so, she’s never expanded her range, and thus has never been desirable for most film roles, and many television ones.

Jennifer Love Hewitt only recently had trouble finding roles (her supporting role on 9–1–1 is actually a surprise, for example) as her looks and her figure made her appealing for many years. Since she’s only 40, she has plenty of time to sharpen her skills. However Hollywood is very unkind to women over 40 and especially those whose primary talent is their experience. Failing her finding a new and successful starring role, her career is probably going to slow even further as the decades progress.

it's a shame, i remember reading ( back then ) that she wanted to be "the next Audrey Hepburn"

reply

that's so great because she actually played her in a biopic. remember that? even though she doesn't look like her, lol. i think that was bad casting, they should have casted natalie portman as she looks like audrey hepburn.

reply

I either did not know - or else I just forgot!

reply

If you're goal is to be the next Audrey Hepburn you should probably take a long hard look in the mirror and see if it is even possible. Hewitt has a an ass that doesn't say Hepburn as much as it screams Roseanne. Her butt is just too damn big to be a waif, the sooner you accept that your genes have cast you certain way the better off you'll be. Given her body she was never ever going to be a waif, so if you can't look like a waif decide what you do look like and embrace it otherwise you'll be missing out on the parts you could have gotten and just getting rejection for the ones you might want but are not right for.

reply

what did you mean by especially those whose primary talent is their experience? does that mean the bad experience jlh has or good experience like a great actress' experience? what did you mean by experience?

reply

she should just be happy she's been this fortunate with her career so far. my gosh, she's somehow had this successful of a career out of being a one trick pony, as in, not a great or even really good actress and only known for how beautiful she is and for having big tits. i mean i don't see and haven't seen in about 10 years any big roles or roles in big shows or big movies for alyssa milano or sarah michelle gellar, or even megan fox who was more known for her looks than jennifer love hewitt even and was a much better actor than jlh.

reply

I mean, she's a super hot white chick who was famous from a young age

Even though her career sputtered out because of her lack of chops, she still had a pretty nice fucking life. Fame allowed her to find a rich husband, and she got by on her looks playing pretend for a living. That is about as easy as life gets other than being born into extreme wealth

What difference does it make if she is never a star again? Not everyone sets out to become a legend in a hyper-competitive field like show biz

reply

to her it matters, didn't you see that quote from her saying i want to be the next audrey hepburn? it doesn't matter if she is never a star again. i'm just sick of still seeing her in things at this advanced age

reply

Sure, but doesn't that just put her in the same company as the rest of us? How many of us never achieve our wildest dreams?

I agree that she is irrelevant now, and that's a good thing for fans of quality acting, but she still really lucked out in life. There are probably porn stars out there with more acting talent than her

reply

i was just thinking today that she got more big breaks and more success as an actress than she deserved. i love how you start out defending her and then you say there are probably porn stars with more acting talent than her, lol. i'm sick of seeing her face in things, she shouldn't be on big tv shows or big movies, she should relegated to low budget movies or small, streaming shows that nobody watches.

reply

THATS JUST FUCKING SAD...YOU NEED TO BE PUT DOWN.

reply

I seriously doubt you have any actual insight to what JLH thinks or feels.

reply

She didn't end up in rehab. She has a family, a good list of fun films, and kids to watch grow up and become adults. Sure, a fleeting career in film may not have lasted the way she expected, but she will have great memories and moments with her family. That's far more important when put into perspective.

reply

Yet she is far more successful than you will ever be.

reply

Most actresses never even get famous in their lifetime so JLH did alright IMO.
