This is a guy who unashamedly makes entertaining films several of which that I've watched repeatedly over the years. Some haven't dated that well, some were misses but overall I think he's a great producer on a par with the old studio giants. I wouldn't want to live on a permanent diet of his movies but it's certainly fun to have them around.
Good grief! That sounds positively sycophantic - I'm a little embarrassed to sound so enthusiastic but there you go I guess.

I liked the 80's movies he produced most, Beverly Hills Cop & Top Gun.
