Favorite Performance (Besides Willy Wonka)?

For me, it's Leo Bloom from The Producers.

Frisco Kid or Blazing Saddles
Young Frankenstein is good too

Frankenstein, way better than Wonka.

Frisco Kid

I must admit I only just saw the Producers for the first time a couple of weeks ago. However, I believe you may well be right about Wilder’s performance. He got to run the full gamut of emotions from his signature neurosis to everything in between. It was certainly a great expose of his style and of what was to come.

Leo Bloom for sure, but honorable mention to his role in Everything You Always Wanted to Know About Sex, as the psychiatrist who falls in love with a sheep.

It's a nicely understated performance.

reply

Young Frakenstein, hands down😎

Close second: The Producers.

What's that movie where he was having the love affair with the sheep. That was solid gold. That Woody Allen flick.

Dr Frederick Frankenstein
