In an alternate universe Oliver Reed stars in The Name of the Rose, The Untouchables, Red October and becomes Indy's dad... and Sean Connery shows up in a drunken, disheveled state on the David Letterman Show.

shareI had a friend years ago who was diagnosed with cancer ( I can't remember what kind) shortly after retiring and then died 6 months later.
I had another friend years after that who had been a lifelong smoker, contracted lung cancer and then totally amazed me when he continued to live for 10 years after the diagnosis.
Go figure.
I just remembered that skit on SNL. That was stomach aching fun.
