Paths Of Glory is A Great Movie
Only saw it for the first time last year, very impressive. You could really see the genius of Kubrick coming through and Douglas was excellent.

shareI agree it's a great film. But it's also very old school B&W and gritty and grim. One has to be a hardcore cinephile to want to seek this out and find it entertaining. Again, it's very grim, and sadly, realistic.
shareI was surprised at how 'modern' some of the scenes felt to me....the almost Steadicam style shots through the trenches etc (what would become a very Kubrick thing of course).
Funny how folks see things different like.
I think it might be Kirk's best film. Certainly not his most famous or fun movie.
