MWMC: Almost Heroes!

Let’s check it out at 8 PM EST on TUBI (unless you have a better suggestion👍)

reply

Well, hello Baldy! Baldy, Baldy, Baldy!

reply

I just reached that part.

reply

YUP...I AM FINALLY GROWING UP...ENJOYING THIS LESS THAN EVER.

reply

well.....im 16 and not enjoying this movie that much either

reply

TBH I started MWMC so our crew could have some light laughs together during the busy work and school week. But I feel like we’ve run through a lot of the TUBI comedies…suggestions would be most welcome Ali✌️

I think a lot of our crew also has FREVEE, hit me with some ideas for next week.

reply

Jeepers Creepers?

reply

I do really like that one but I attempt to keep it comedic for MWMC. Let’s see what the general opinion is, I’m down for whatever you all want.

reply

dont tell mom that the baby sitters dead (1991)
little nicky (2000)
central intelligence (2016)

these are all on tubi and i have seen central intelligence and little nicky (love both of them) but have never seen dont tell mom that the babysitter is dead (really wanna check that one out though)

reply

Cool.
I found Wagon’s East on TUBI as well.
Let’s agree on something silly to watch next week👍

reply

I’ve been meaning to rewatch my blu-ray of Central intelligence. I did not like it much yet every time I see the trailer I’m like “How did I not like it? Need to watch again!”

I probably won’t like it much more though…

reply

Uncle Anku from Northern Exposure! I love that guy!

reply

I feel the movie needs something. It could just be likeable characters? I don't know. I first thought it needed "heart" but I don't really know how to describe what I mean by that.

reply

HEART IS PRETTY CLOSE...EVERYTHING IS NO STAKES... NO REAL EMOTIONS...LIKE THE THREE STOOGES

This is just really interesting. Chris Farley.

reply

We'll be the first to walk to Asia!

reply

And Wagons East popped up as the watch next.

reply

EWWW.

reply

I didn't like that one either. Lol.

reply

THE 90S WERE A WEIRD TIME FOR COMEDIES...THERE A RE A ALOT OF HEARTLESS SLOGS FROM THAT ERA...THAT I USED TO LIKE AND AM COMING TO THE REALIZATION THAT I HAVE OUTGROWN.

reply

The Full Monty was 1997 😜

reply

PERHAPS I AM SPEAKING MORE ON AMERICAN COMEDIES...THE FULL MONTY IS EXCELLENT AND BRITISH.

reply

Well you know my opinion on comedy. I usually need something to go with it. I know they used to be referred to as "Black comedy" at least in my neck of the woods, but I like the darker stuff. Like The Last Supper, To Die For, or even Heathers. I guess Happy Death Day, Clue, and Fargo would fall in that category too.

reply

I AGREE WITH THAT...BLACK COMEDIES OR HORROR COMEDIES ARE USUALLY MY GENRES...I DO HAVE A REALLY SOFT SPOT FOR ROMANTIC COMEDIES THOUGH....SPECIFICALLY THE WORK OF MEG RYAN AND SANDRA BULLOCK....BUT ROM COMS IN GENERAL MAKE ME HAPPY...NOT THE NEWER ONES THOUGH...I HAVE BEEN BORED BY RECENT ATTEMPTS AT ROM COM.

reply

Agreed. 80s and 90s rom coms were the best.

reply

GOT A GIANT YOU'VE GOT MAIL POSTER ON THE WALL...MEG RYAN IS ALWAYS SMILING AT ME.

reply

When Harry Met Sally will always be my favourite Meg Ryan romcom.

reply

I LOVE THAT ONE...I THINK THAT'S MY FAVORITE MEG RYAN FLICK TOO...I HAVE A REAL SOFT SPOT FOR ADDICTED TO LOVE THOUGH....I WATCHED THAT ONE A LOT IN THE 90S.

reply

My thoughts are that it was too much unsuccessful slapstick, obnoxious humour, and too little substance.

reply

You have the troubling Canadian tubi...so you're in charge.

reply

Lol...I don't like being in charge. No one likes my picks either. 😜

reply

YOU KEEP PICKING MOVIES ABOUT GAY COWBOYS EATING PUDDING.

reply

Yep
Just like Beverly Hill Ninja.
