It's definitely annoying for sure. I think an equal problem on these forums is the source mining that occurs when someone makes a claim, types an abridged version of the claim into a search engine, then pastes an article link that they then act like is an unassailable truth that they are right about so and so, even when the article was something like a slanted political piece.

Both of those approaches are definitely annoying.

It depends what the original post was. Sometimes it seems like people want a quick "yes" or "no", but those cases are rare. Now if the post is discussing a movie and they share their opinion in that post, then a reply should be longer than just a few words.
