Follow my movie reviewing account on Instagram. I don't think a lot of people on this site use the platform but I figured I'd throw it out there anyways. Not going to be using moviechat anymore after this. It's crazy to think I made it past 1,000 replies. Wild ride.

Basically I'm just going through my imdb watchlist and posting about it. You'd like it if you're into that sort of thing. I act a little chaotic on there but it'll be fun if you can ignore that.

I was actually going to ask if self promo was even allowed but since I'm leaving the site I don't really care if I break the rules, doesn't really matter. If it bothers you then you probably shouldn't have responded

Fair enough! I know that it's one of the most popular platforms out there. I just find it a little constraining as a place for film review, but wherever works!

Just curious, but why can't you use both MC and Instagram? Doesn't exactly seem like an either/or situation to me, though I could be missing something.

I'll be pretty busy when I start school, so I did decide to make it an "either/or" thing, even though I probably didn't need to. I don't exactly want to leave this site, but a lot of the people can be overwhelming, so I think it's for the best.

Fair enough. I often take long breaks from MC just because of how obnoxious many of the posters here are, so I know what you mean.

How comprehensive of a review can you post on that site, though? Isn't it primarily an image-driven platform?

You'd be surprised. There are a lot of great reviews, and posting pictures with long captions make for great blog posts.

I may very well be surprised, but then again I tend to draw a more informed opinion from reviews of about 1,000 words to start. That's just me and my attention span, though. Do what drives you, and we'll all be looking forward to your future contributions!

Thanks, and also, there are indeed disadvantages. It can be very time consuming on that app to make a post, you can't even use the computer to post anything.
