It was an old weatherboard but I don't know how old. Certainly built well before WW2. Not surprisingly it burned down not long after we moved out of the place. A house can only take so much I guess.

shareThe house they were living in when I was born (1963) they had moved into the previous year. I think it had been built sometime in the 1920's. Very large Spanish-style ranch house, 2 story split level.
shareThe first one they bought in 1953 was new and then we moved in 1960 to a house that was 5 yeas old.
shareThe one I grew up in was new when they bought it. They one they moved into after was about 10 years old.
shareI think it was about 20 years old or so. It was built in the 1950s and they bought it in the early 70's.
