reply

AS LOUD AS YOU CAN THROUGH A MEGAPHONE AT 2AM 🤣

reply

I DON'T HAVE A MEGAPHONE...YET.🙂

reply

Since you already yell every fucking thing that comes out of our pie hole? What difference does it make.

reply

YOU'RE CUTE...SHALL WE DATE?

reply

As much as I hate people shouting "woke" at everything, I noticed that even more people bring up how much they hate people who hate wokeness more.

reply

YEAH...A LOT OF MORONS HATE ME...I DIG IT.

reply

Prove to me how us wanting to put you in a guillotine means we hate you.

reply

Blame the people who have tried so hard to perverted the meaning of something positive.

reply

I blame both. They both sound ridiculous.

reply

No, that's a false equivalency.

reply

One complains everything is woke, the other complains nothing is woke. One complains about woke people, the other complains about the people who aren't woke. It's sounds like an accurate equivalency.

reply

They are all idiots.

Signed, million man.

reply

They always had a lesson to be learned in The Jefferson’s back then.

I remember one that really made an impression on me as a kid was when George went to some big conference in his building and it turned out to be a clan meeting. The main dude had a heart attack when him and George were arguing, and George was the only one there who knew CPR. When George brought the clan leader back to life the guy asked who saved him. When they pointed at George the the guy said “you should have let me die!”

I was like: WTF!?!?!

It might have even been one of those where it was pure silence during the end credits instead of the happy Jefferson’s song. Different Strokes used to have some rough ones too and those lessons would stick with ya when you were a kid.

reply

GEORGE JEFFERSON IS ONE COOL DUDE.

reply

Oh, that bike shop episode was creepy.
I’m not sure we caught on as kids but something seemed ‘off.’

I’m surprised that one made it to network TV back then but it’s probably good that it did.

reply

That was messed up. When Dudley’s dad came and talked to him in the end you knew something was big time wrong.

reply

Damn I still remember that episode. It's weird, I can't explain it, I didn't fully understand what the episode was about while at the same time understanding it completely. I suppose it makes sense, I was too young to understand it on an intellectual level, but I understood it on an emotional one.

reply

same here, never forgot that episode:

It might have even been one of those where it was pure silence during the end credits instead of the happy Jefferson’s song.

A lot of Norman Lear's sitcoms used that technique. It was the precursor to the "Tonight, on a very special episode of [insert name of show here]..." that was a big thing in the 1990s.

reply

I don’t remember this particular episode but we did enjoy the Jeffersons. We preferred the goings-on at 704 Hauser St., Queens.
😁

reply

You meathead! 😀

reply

Dummy up you!

reply

Stifle yourself you dingbat you!

reply

We loved Archie😄

reply

Goddamn right! Archie Bunker is based as fuck. I wish we had more Archie Bunkers today. I wish I could see Archie Bunker trying to wrap his mind around wokeness and all the flavors of the Alphabet people. I am certain that hilarity would ensue.

reply

🙄

reply

Don't you roll your eyes at me Kowalski.

reply

GREAT SHOW...SO GREAT IT SPUN OFF A SHOW SO GOOD A LOT OF PEOPLE DON'T EVEN KNOW IT'S A SPIN OFF.

reply

Yeah, a great spin-off. My family liked it a lot.
For the time it was sort of clever to have two shows bursting bubbles, making the audience laugh and both starring lovable main characters with a few ‘issues.’

Classic stuff!

reply

I HAVE SEEN EVERY ALL IN THE FAMILY...THE JEFFERSONS STILL HAS EPISODES THAT ARE NEW TO ME THOUGH...AMAZING TO WATCH A RE RUN OF A SHOW MADE BEFORE I WAS BORN AND THINKING...THIS IS CUTTING EDGE.

reply

Do you watch Different Strokes also?

reply

I HAVE SEEN MOST/ALL AS A KID/TEEN...I DO OCCASIONALLY SEE RERUNS WHEN MY CHANNEL HAS THE SHOW...OTHER THAN PHYSICAL MEDIA AND YOUTUBE I HAVE ONE OF THOSE FREE TV ANTENNAS...BUT I NEVER CHANGE THE CHANNEL...I LEAVE IT ON ANTENNATV AT ALL TIMES...24 HOUR A DAY CLASSIC SITCOMS...MY CATS AND I LOVE IT.

I NEED TO GET DIFFERENT STROKES ON DVD...THAT WOULD BE SWEET.

reply

Speaking of "All in the Family" spinoffs, I'm a big fan of "Maude." That show also did a great job dealing with social issues while being very funny.

reply

YES IT DID...ANOTHER GREAT SHOW.

I also remember things like light-hearted Patrick Swayze movies featuring drag queens.

It's only been quite recently that rightwingers have started attacking drag queens and transgender folks so fiercely. For the right it's simply another outrage du jour...and they simply don't care about hurting real people.

reply

I get sick of hearing about it. Actually, on both sides. The trials & tribulations of drag-queens is a very small agenda item for me.

I understand its a MAGA football, but boy is it a tedious one.
