If the world is colonized by aliens....

And we are enslaved as a slave race to farm and mine for them....are you going to be a good slave or kill yourself?

Slavery is a fate that many have faced throughout history. Are you tough enough?

reply

A good slave?

reply

I’ll probably become a twenty year old actor and try to make it in L.A.

reply

How do you know we haven't been colonized already?

reply

Maybe we have if we live in a simulation. We could be fooled into thinking that our actions and our decisions are our own.

reply

AWW...WHAT A CUTE WAY FOR YOU TO SAY SLAVE REPEATEDLY AND MAKE CHILDISH COMPARISONS.

reply

I'd form or join an underground resistance.

reply

I think you'll find that resistance is futile.

reply

The moral problem with resistance against an overwhelmingly powerful occupier, is that acts of sabotage or assassination may be met with brutal reprisals on the citizenry. Examples :

After Heydrich's assassination - 5,000 Czechs, at least, executed

After China safe-guarding the Dolittle crew after the raid on Tokyo - over 250,000 killed, men, women, children - an entire province raised.

reply

You underestimate the sneakiness, sir!

reply

Being a good little slave andcenjoy the life i have to the fullest

They can't be very powerful if they needslaves and cannot build robots

reply

They wouldn't be able to breath our air, eat us or our food. A few of our descendants would be kept in a biodome for study & amusement, the planet itself would be re-formed to suit their biology.

If, otoh I was enslaved, I would I suppose try to make the best of it, or if I become discouraged or enraged enough, try sabotage, or off myself. The historic lesson of slavery, most particularly the Holocaust, is that people endure, even in the most unimaginably horrible conditions.

We are suited, by long evolutionary experience, to endure. If you are caucasian or Asian, your ancestors lived through scores of thousands of years enduring ice-age conditions. If you are African, your ancestors lived through long ages of droughts. The Neanders and Denisovans were even likely tougher, hacking it out for much longer in the cold, facing starvation constantly. Humans have those genes floating around, too.
