It's well known that Danny Trejo was a convicted felon. He got his big break in Hollywood while working on a set as a carpenter. The director was filming a scene where the actors were playing criminals. He complained that none of them looked like criminals. When he spotted Trejo, he walked up to him and told the cast, "This is what a criminal should look like." He then offered Trejo a part.
