Emergency: Need feel good movie for right now

Hi everyone,

I finished an important lecture at my doctoral workshop I was attending in my country, and came out a little disappointed at myself, I made some not inevitable mistakes.
I'm the kind of person that something small things can ruin my whole day (and sometimes more).

In light of this,
I need the Wisdom of the crowd.

My only condition: not comedy movies. Or at least not a comedy as the main component in the movie.

Wonder Woman (2017)

I guarantee Gal Gadot will cheer you up.

reply

I know Gal Gadot personally.
She's amazing and with a lot of charisma in the first film of Wonder Woman.

The Dish (2000) - about a mistake and how people come together to fix it

reply

People have recommended me this movie in the past, I haven't had a chance to watch it yet.

thanks :)

reply

Thank you so much to everyone for the wonderful recommendations.
I'm certainly not the only one who intends to watch some of the recommended movies.

For today I decided to watch .... (drums)

The Lucky Ones (2007)

reply

Woohoo! Daveo for the win.

Good choice, but you should watch The Siege Of Jadotville next. It's a stirring war film
based on the true story of 150 brave Irish soldiers sent to the Congo in 1961 as part of a
peace keeping force, but then find themselves besieged by a force 20 times their size.

It's rated 7.2 on IMDb, but I give it a 9!

It's not about feel-good movies any more but I love war movies so I promise to give it a chance and even tell you about that.

And who care about IMDb rating :).
Just see how so many new movies are overrated.

Great choice. Please let us know what you think.

You could always try "Harry and the Hendersons." While it does have some comedy, it's actually more about family and learning not to judge people (or in this case, Sasquatches) by the myths people tell about them. I always loved that movie and it's a fun story with a happy ending.

Hey AmeriGirl

I watched Harry and the Hendersons long time ago I vaguely remember a fun and enjoyable movie. Probably watch it as a young kid so I curious what I think about it now.

Not a movie but an animated series. It's the perfect feel-good one, though. Nothing comes close. Yuru Camp
