No. I don't believe in those silly little formalities. Plus, chances are the person who is receiving the gift isn't actually going to like it. And then they pretend "Oh, I LOVE it" when they hate it. So, why bother? I just hate fake niceness/politeness. The whole thing just screams non-genuine.
Besides, this "secret Santa" is more of a "girls" thing. Guys don't care.

It's a cute work and family tradition but this year has really been weird so I have no fun plans like that...everybody in my little circle has decided to avoid our usual Holiday traditions
Secret Santa was always fun, if I got a brother in law or male relative I always delivered the goods...a cool BB gun, a good Maglight or a nice folding pocket knife...whenever I got a girl relative I had no idea what to get them
Next year I will do secret Santa for sure👍
We always do that for St. Nicholas Eve, including gag gifts and poems.

shareYes my family does it every year. If we didn’t Christmas would break the bank, too many people to buy for. This way we all only have to budget $50 for presents.
I got my sister this year and have already got her gift. I know she’ll love it, too.
No - I hate getting stuff I don't want or need. We tried a gift exchange one one year and not everyone wanted to participate. We are all fortunate to be well off and one year I suggested we pool our money and give it to a charity instead. Well, that went over like a lead balloon. Like their kids would be deprived if they only got 5 gifts instead of 20. I actually told my step daughter if she bought me something on line that I couldn't exchange and I didn't like it then it would go directly to Goodwill. I hate receiving gifts that are bought on-line. Bah - humbug!
I know I sound like the Grinch but Christmas,(the gift part), is for kids and I just wish my family would enjoy getting together w/o the adult gifts.
Nope😕. I usually do that with my relatives when I travel to visit them. I'm not traveling anytime soon.
