Covid is still spiking in the US. The vaccine, although promising, might not get things sorted until late 2021.

Asides from the odd Marvel film I don't think it will be much better. It's a combination of people preferring to watch things at home and Hollywood not making very much that is worth seeing.

This is actually kind of shocking.

But 2020 brought Kevin Costner his first #1 weekend opener ever in a STARRING ROLE with "Let Him Go".

Supposedly the first vaccine is expected in spring, which is going to be... interesting! So maybe by summer, theaters can open again, and sensible people might be willing to enter them.

Not now, man. Remember, THERE IS NO CURE, THERE IS ONLY PREVENTION.

All depends on the vaccines. I don't think the theater business has been killed like some are claiming. A lot of people I know would like to go back to seeing movies there. The industry might have lost some customers, but I know a lot of people who miss it, including myself.

I would hope so. I am hoping at least two films depicting black people as oppressed but dignified people. Hasn't been one of those in a good long time. Or at least a movie about the KKK.

I think to be fair, the government should temporarily suspend all streaming services like Netflix, Disney+, etc. for at least a month when they let cinemas reoperate fully.
