How do people feel about watching Zombies movies in the current Pandemic?

reply

I feel fine about it. Why not

reply

Do you feel like it changes your view of the current situation?

reply

It does not change my view of the current situation, but it changed my view a little bit on zombie movies.

reply

In what way does it change your view on zombie movies?

reply

It made me think that zombie movies are perverted in nature. It's the ultimate "us vs them" mentality visualized without conscience. No moral nor ethic baggages. It normalizes nazification. And turned it into 11. It's the perversion, almost erotic even. It's basically porn.

reply

Who is the 'us' and the 'them'?

reply

Us = human
Them = zombies

reply

These are flesh eater movies, not zombie movies. Real zombie movies are voodoo oriented such as "White Zombie" (1932), "I walked with a zombie" (1943) and the Hammer classic "The Plague of the zombies" (1966). Night of the Living Dead (1968) is what warped peoples perception of zombies as flesh eaters. Real zombies can and have existed but they aren't undead, they are drugged slaves. A famous case of a real life zombie is the story of a Haitian man named Clairvius Narcisse.

reply

Whatever. That's like your own definition, man. Normal people know what zombie movies are. Stop making weird alternative definitions only you understand. Flesh eater movies lol wtf is that.

reply

Uh, no, that's actually the factual definition of what a zombie is. As far as flesh eater movies, well, it is exactly what it says it is. Can't you read English? If you don't want to do the research, fine, but don't start spewing a bunch of bullshit about things you know nothing about.

reply

Uh shut up, troll!

reply

[deleted]

Just like people who shitposts like "a b" threads lol.

reply

That has nothing to do with my idiocy on THIS thread. Stop deflecting and admit that you fucked up.

reply

Ok, lets do that. Everyone knows what a zombie movie is. Flesh eater movies? Only you do.

reply

Butter wouldn't melt !

reply

Haha, do you find watching zombie films relaxes you?

reply

I do actually own a zombie movie, ' Pride and Prejudice and Zombies '. It has it's moments but overall it's not what I would call a good film. And no it wasn't particularly relaxing either.

Do people watch films to be relaxed ? I'm not sure that they do. Specialty films of fish swimming to and fro in tanks and such perhaps but otherwise I don't think so.

reply

I wondered if in the current crisis, whether people use film as a mood regulator?

reply

Are you considering writing a thesis on the subject ?

reply

Yes! and am genuinely interested

reply

Of course, who wouldn't be ?

reply

So do you use film as a mood regulator?

reply

MARIJUANA

reply

I like the zombie pictures
I think I'm behind on The Walking Dead

I wont watch the 'News' but I will watch zombie movies👍

reply

World War Z was the first film I wanted to watch when the quarantine began. Kind of moved on from that moment and feeling, but it really appealed to me at the start of this thing. I could relate to that same doom and panic that was portrayed at the beginning of the film. Rushing around, worryimg about family, gathering food and supplies for a long haul sheltering.

reply

I don’t feel any different than before the pandemic. I guess about a month or so ago I watched Zombie Holocaust (1980) on VHS. It’s story mixed the zombie and cannibal genres without much success in my opinion.
