I like to taunt barking dogs if they're behind a fence.
On the rare occasion I'm on foot,
I like to give them a brief staredown.
Most of the time, however,
I'm biking and I blow them kisses instead.

Teasing is bad enough. Taunting involves a streak of cruelty.

Most of the time, I ignore them. Yelling at them just encourages their noise, and they only bark at me because they see my husky, Domino, as an "invader" to their "territory." However, a few times I met really stupid owners who were walking their dogs without leashes (coincidentally, almost all of them were in California, save for one redneck family in TX). More than once, I've had to stare down a dog that was threatening Domino. The trick is not to blink, and give them a cool, calm, killer gaze that says "I am the Alpha here. You do not threaten me or my pack member. Ever."
