Did you notice people changing how they treat you when you hit your 40s?
In a good way or a bad way?
shareIn a good way or a bad way?
shareGood way for sure
When you're married and employed in your 40s people seem to show a bit more respect...it makes you seem steady and dependable, no matter how nuts you might be😬
I've managed to become the Counselor/Rabbi to a bunch of younger guys at the office, this despite being ridiculously Irish looking lol
I leave my door open at all times and the gang constantly passes through for a quick word or my opinion
I like helping my work friends in this way
I'm only 39!
shareOh yes. I've become invisible. People look right through you, they don't even notice you anymore. Nobody bothers you to hang out anymore either. It's honestly pretty great for the most part, but impossible to hit on girls without coming off like a super creep.
shareHow old are you? Just asking.
I know that people say they become 'invisible' after a certain age so I try not to make them feel that way. I even hung out with a woman in her 60s when I was 29. We were both english speakers at my hostel in Buenos Aires where I was staying long term and we even went to the movies twice. Nothing romantic, just hanging out.
did you find her attractive??
share42. But it was already started in my late 30s. But when I started going bald... man, I was just another overweight balding guy in a sea of them. But you get way better service in restaurants.
shareNope.but then I don't look my age and can still pass for a 30 something.young people can make me feel old though.I brought up blockbuster in a conversation a while back and my 24 year old nephew asked me what's blockbuster.
shareReally? That's weird. They were still around 10 years ago. Shouldn't have had them as part of his childhood?
I hate when I mention something to someone young and they say 'I was too young' in reply. Like this girl said she wanted to see 'My Chemical Romance' and I said I saw them 3 times and she said 'I was too young'. Good for you! lol
No, my 40's were great. I'm wayyyy past that now but I look pretty good for my age and think it's all about attitude. I'm 69 and still work - not because I have to, but because I want to. People retire and then it all goes down the toilet.
shareOk sweet crap I’m 2 years away how does it change ? How !!’
