Has anyone here heard of Murdoch Mysteries?

It's like a Canadian version of Sherlock Holmes. I've seen a few episodes and I liked the show, but it's been years.

Been thinking of watching it again now that I remembered it/decided to post it here.

reply

I do not like its modern, PC spin on history.

reply

this is not surprising seeing who produces this show.

reply

I have no clue who the producer is.

reply

It's a CBC production who are a little on the left.

reply

Seems more than a little. I believe there was an episode that was an obvious reference to the current immigrant crisis. I don't get this need to insert modern politics.

reply

they must have done a climate change episode by now.

Live in Canada love that show

We've watched it :). It's a good series, but I think it Jumped the Shark in Season 10. For some reason, the writing has really gone downhill in the last few years. I don't know what happened at Acorn Studios, but it changed a lot after Season 9. It's really sad, because it's had a good long run, and we got to see some wish fulfillment as well as good character development over time. That, and it was fun learning some things about history most people wouldn't know about the Turn of the 20th Century.
