Your top 3 films?

I know that's not a lot but I want to get to the real favourites. No honorable mentions allowed.

3. Le samourai (1967)

Such a cool flick, the opening scene with Delon laying on the bed smoking is simple yet it could be a painting.

2. Killing them softly (2012)

This film is depressing in an entertaining way. Interesting characters, every scene takes it's time.

1. Badlands (1973)

Is there a more beautiful film? You would almost forget the tragic things that take place in it.

Yes, I like crime films. These 3 films also show my idea of america. I know le samourai is french and doesn't take place in the usa obviously but it's heavily influenced by film noir.

All the central characters are in a sense loners, those characters are most interesting to me because they often have a unique perspective on life.

So.. what's your top 3 and do you love/hate these films?

1. The Apartment 1960
2. The Shop Around the Corner 1937
3. Outland 1981

Those are interesting choices.

My Top 3 would be:

3. American Beauty (1999)

It's a beautiful exploration of family dynamics and Kevin Spacey is a revelation. I just wish he would come back to acting soon.

2. Pulp Fiction (1994)

What a great movie. Quentin Tarantino is one of the best directors working today and his attention to detail and witty dialogue is unmatched in my opinion.

1. Forrest Gump (1994)

I fell in love with Tom Hanks as an actor ever since I saw this movie and he has been my favorite ever since. The movie is so beautiful and evokes so many emotions in the viewer. It gets me every time.

Just to be clear these are my Top 3 favorite movies these are not what I consider the best movies ever made.
