We are officially in the dog days of summer in the northern hemisphere. What are some good films with good stories set in this time of year?

The Flamingo Kid...I love this movie
The amusement park scene was filmed at a Yonkers fun park called Adventures

It is now a parking lot and strip mall:(

The Night of the Hunter. Seems obviously filmed in the middle of summer.
And speaking of Long Hot Summer, the movie with Newman and Woodward and is it Burl Ives? That was a fun one to run across. The way Paul talks to Joanne is pretty funny. I'd love to see it again.
