The Bubblegum Music genre gets its name from the fact that many folks would jam wads of used bubblegum in their ears to avoid hearing it. 🤭😨😱🙉😉

Hard to believe bubblegum music came out around 1967-68 when you consider all the cultural changes going on. The last hurrah for the 1950s.

Music and movies certainly were changing in the late 1960s. Just watch Easy Rider or listen to The End by The Doors.

When I wrote “Times Are “Not” A Changing” it was a play on Bob Dylan’s “The Times They Are A Changing”. Meaning we haven’t changed from the ‘60’s....we are worse. I lived it and I hated the ‘60’s. I’m happy I came of age in 1961 as my high school years were 1957-1961. I didn’t like the change which was occurring in the culture. Vietnam was the root cause...damn war we had no business sticking our noses into!

They came out with another album as late as 2011, it wasn't released internationally, but the group still exists to this day and still produces music :-) Far from their glory days but it's at least something.
