A really good one I saw on PBS years ago is called, Country Boys. Came out in 2005 I think. It follows two Eastern Kentucky HS aged kids from very poor backgrounds and how they navigate through their life. One has this amazing support system at home and the other doesn't. Its really sad at times. And Dick Proenneke's Alone in the Wilderness is great too. Probably have heard of that one? Its popular. He built a cabin in the backwoods of Alaska and lived up there alone for 30 years. Guy was a beast. Just the toughest most self sufficient man off all time.
