Iconic Movie Structures...

Every so often a movie comes along that features a very specific house, shack, fortress or palace that just sticks in our heads for decades afterward...

I would like to mention the creepy old Cabin from Evil Dead (81)
You just knew that place would be trouble the minute Ash pulled his car up front and man it did not let us down :0

The real cabin burned down shortly after the Raimis finished the shoot and was located in Morristown, Tennessee...

Too bad too
It really just needed a good sweeping and some paint and love to make it real sweet for deer season and fishing trips!

Any favorite movie structures you would care to share?

BTW, the "Monroeville Mall" where the original "Dawn of the Dead" was filmed, is a place I go shopping. It is quite, quite different than when the movie was made.

reply

I went there once with a couple of friends. We took shotguns, machine guns and a couple of pistols each. The place was wrecked.

Wish Valve would make Left 4 Dead 3 :D

Seriously though I can imagine it would be. Are there any signs or plaques saying that it was the mall from DotD way back when or is it all but forgotten now except by movie fans?

reply

It is gorgeous and I would love to visit if it were not such a dangerous geo-political area. It is still an active trade route to the Far East.
