What actor or actress....

would you want to give your eulogy?

You can write it if you're so inclined.

They can be living or dead.
Would you go for comedy, drama, good speaking voice, maybe somebody
who can sing and dance?

reply

Spike Milligan. I'd like his take on the absurdity of it all.

reply

Him doing all his characters.
Very memorable.

It's funny, but the first name that popped into my head was Linda Rondstadt. She was always very intelligent, and seemingly gentle, and the more I look back at her music the more I admire her as an artist.

Her autobiography was interesting, because she talked a lot about musical technique.

I'd love to read that book!
I once saw her at Mile High stadium in Denver. This was back in the mid to late 70's. She opened for The Eagles. She was terrific and very sweet.. After that concert I bought most of her albums.

reply

She wouldn't be singing You're No Good for sure.

Would she?

Funny story.....I didn't see this, but my friend said he saw some old television clip of her shaken' it in a miniskirt, sockin' "You're No Good" to a group of prisoners. Maybe her boyfriend Governor Jerry Brown set that up? Maybe it was a benefit concert? Anyway, he said it was aaaawkwaaaard.....

But anyway, THIS song of hers has a kind of gorgeous, eulogistic vibe:

Yet we must think of others, and the little dancing animated mice from THIS one might lift hearts...though it's far from my favorite of her ditties:

You beat me to it Cookie. Post to follow.

I would think a music gig for prisoners would be great.
I bet you'd always get a standing ovation.

Take your bow Cookie.
You deserve it.

Are you here all week?

reply

Steve Buscemi with his "I don't tip" speech.

reply

Seems so strange but somehow so perfect.

reply

That's what I would be aiming for.

reply

Danny Devito. He did a good job of narrating Matilda. Good enough for me.
