Should I go see The Dark Tower?

The previews kind of look boring. But I'm bored and want to see the next movie available and The Dark Tower is the next movie showing.

reply

Have you read any of the books? If you are a fan, watch it!
You seem to be bored and indifferent to most things. Nobody can recommend these things. You will just have to make up your own mind.
Since you don't sound all that interested, why are you even asking anyone?

reply

I have read a couple of the novels but what I saw in the trailers didn't look as awesome as the book. Like I don't remember The Man in Black being able to stop bullets. It seems as though the movie modified some of the novel to appease this generation of movie goers and fit into the status quo. But I maybe wrong. I like hearing other's opinions about movies otherwise I wouldn't be on this site.

I see. I am a fan of most Stephen King books. I never did get into those Dark Tower books though.
Having said that, I do know that a film isn't always going to be faithful to the book. Part of it is time constraints. Things in the film will be condensed.
Part of the changes will be the film maker's vision and changes in the script.
I am not always happy with book adaptations.... especially a number of my favorite King novels, but many of them have been surprisingly good..... even great.
Perhaps you should wait a few days and ask people who have seen the film. Have you read any of the reviews? That might be helpful. I'm not always in agreement with those either. I like to make up my own mind.
You can be certain that the film won't be the same and it may possibly not even be as good as the books.
It could possibly be better.
I know...... I'm a BIG HELP! LOL!

reply

No you were a huge help. I really wasn't feeling watching The Dark Tower anyway so I'll wait. Have you seen Dunkirk?

reply

Dunkirk? No. I'm sorry to say that I haven't.
Have you? Any good?

reply

No I haven't. I was going to though. Lol
I'm still trying to find a movie to go see. Maybe I'll go see Despicable Me 3 or something.

reply

Despicable Me 3 is the weakest in the series though.

reply

Okay NOW you're not any help! Lol😉

1. Take a coin out of your pocket
2. Flip it
3. Heads you go, tails you don't.

Problem solved

" Call it ? "
"Yes. "
" For what ? "
" Just call it. "
" Well, we need to know what we're calling it for here. "
" You need to call it. I can't call it for you. It wouldn't be fair. "
" I didn't put nothin' up. "
"Yes, you did. You've been putting it up your whole life you just didn't know it. You know what date is on this coin ? "
"No."
" 1958. It's been traveling twenty-two years to get here. And now it's here. And it's either heads or tails. "
" Look, I need to understand what I stand to win . "
"Everything."
" How's that ? "
" You stand to win everything. Call it. "
" Alright. Heads then. "
" Well done. Don't put it in your pocket, sir. Don't put it in your pocket. It's your lucky quarter. "
" Where do you want me to put it ? "
" Anywhere, not in your pocket. Where it'll get mixed in with the others and become just a coin. Which it is."
😁😆

No, there are plenty of movies out there that are far more deserving of your time and money.

If you haven't seen Baby Driver, War for the Planet of the Apes, The Big Sick, Detroit, A Ghost Story, or Dunkirk yet, there's no reason to see The Dark Tower.

reply

I saw Baby Driver. I'm not into the apes. The Big Sick is a chick flick. I'm not that into chick flicks even though I'm a chick. Lol
I mostly watch sci-go, horror, action and crime dramas. Sometimes I will watch adventures, it just depends on who the cast is. This is so so frustrating! I wanna see a movie but there is nothing that great playing. I ended up re watching Shot Caller and Dune that night.

I just named six great movies that are out in theaters right now. Next week Wind River is coming out. There's always something worth watching if you're close enough to an indie theater or even a huge multiplex.
