Jim... could you please make a News, Rumors and Gossip board....

and redirect all the comments made in those 'articles' to that specific board, so that they don't automatically start a new thread in General Discussion. The threads in General Discussion should be fresh threads started by posters, and not the result of them being automatically generated every time someone makes a comment on a News, Rumors and Gossip article.

Most of us don't want MOVIECHAT to turn into POLITICALCHAT or SPAWNINGCHAT, if you know what I mean. Ta!

Maybe you won't think that when I start replying to rubbish articles in the News, Rumors and Gossip tabs, one after another, so it clogs up the General Discussion, stuff you or anyone has any interest in. I bet if I did that I would be considered a troll.

Or at least allow us to ignore the accounts which produce the spam.

There's only a reply or report feature on their threads.

Sorry but I like the feature. The stories are actually general entertainment news, it's just that hollywood is currently being very vocal about politics.

I don't think anyone is saying to get rid of it, just perhaps give it a board of it's own?

The stories are almost 100% American and we're an International community,so it figures that what Amal Clooney's farts smell like are not of interest to all of us!

I noticed that thing about the boy.....
I didn't want to even look. That's like some headline from the Enquirer or The Star or what ever scuzzy rag you see at the checkout.
i refuse to look at anything here on GD that isn't from an actual poster.
i have no problem with this crud having it's own board. If people like this sort of thing, great!
Keep it in the checkout line!

I completely agree. This "news, rumors and gossip" feature has really changed the general discussion board, and not for the better. It needs to go back to the way it was.
