BACKGROUND/EXTRA WORK IS AMAZING!

Night shoot tonight.

Anyone else do anything on set?

What backround?

reply

It's those "other" characters in video games and movies that do not speak. They are called background actors or characters.

reply

I will be a tree.

reply

You would be surprised. People, who are used as props and have to be provided with a costume; they not only get their regular pay $149/8, but a pay bump of $50!

reply

I will be a shrubbery.

reply

Sounds interesting. I would love to be in the background of some fantasy movie/show, but I have no idea how to "apply".

reply

Unsung heroes are usually behind the scenes .

reply

You would have to find a casting agency in your area or a casting director. I never thought I would ever have this experience and this is in the state of KY! I thought people had said nothing happens here?! I sometimes meet people who travel from Atlanta or Florida.

reply

Meh. I doubt I'd find one way up here in New England. Maybe while I'm on vacation in California later this summer I could drop by and see if any studios need extras. 😉

reply

That is what I thought too; however, it felt like a divine gift. After about a year that I had resided here, I found out that Kentucky had this HUGE film incentive and ever since then, projects have been coming every few months. What was once a dream, has now become a reality. I do not think I would have ever been an extra, actor, or anything associated with production had I still been residing in CA. Way too much competition. Way too many people with similar looks.

reply

I guess that's a good point. *shrug*

My aunt was actually working at a city hall near Boston when they were filming a movie. The actor that played Finn in the Force Awakens and the actress that played Gilly in Game of Thrones were there, but unfortunately she didn't get any pictures. I think the movie is called Detroit.

reply

Yeah. Just keep your eyes and ears open and you may fall upon it when you least expect it.

I remember, like it was just yesterday, when I read an article stating "you can find acting opportunities anywhere, even in place like KY of all places." It was funny because I read that around the first time I was cast as an extra. Additionally, the one I know about also has people come from the Northeast. There was one individual I had met yesterday that traveled all the way from Atlanta, GA! Another gal, I am currently typing to had come from Columbus, OH!

reply

I will take the hydra and join Alice against umbrella😉

reply

It would be a tough thing for wardrobe. They would be working overtime to make that costume!

reply

Actually,i'm working in the textile industry and it's not that hard😉

reply

By the way,if you reffering to hydra,it's a short shotgun with three barells, very efficient in close range😉

reply

Oh, I thought you meant the mythical sea creature.

reply

No,arvin,i thought you know about this weapon. Is not exist in reality,i have it in RE6 the game and it's used by Alice in the final chapter😉
