How many posts have you made?
I am posting to test mine.
shareThis post will be 556! Yep, the # now next to your username IS the # of posts you've made! 😉
shareCorrection: It is the # of posts you have made AND the number of replies you have made. It is a combined number.
shareOhhhhhh...ok, but isn't a reply a post as well? Cause I make waaaaaay more replies than I do posts.
shareIt depends how you look at it. I think a post is technically a topic/thread, while a comment is simply called a reply... I see them all as posts, too, though.
shareYeah Leia, I agree. I've only made like 5 threads whereas, have done tons of replies and comments. But yeah, I think that whether you reply, comment, or make your own thread...they're all posts in the end.
shareMaking a thread is a post and replying is a post.
The definition seems to be very broad; however, we have to see it as it is distributed. Until Jim makes replies and posts the same thing, they will have to be acknowledged differently.
Well, ok...if you say so. But, to me, a post is a post.
shareYes, but the number totals both posts and replies. Even if your opinion is that a reply is a post and a post is a post; the actual number is NOT the total number of posts. Look at your profile and total those two numbers: replies + posts = your 592
shareOk, I see what you're saying. A post happens when you start a thread...cause I only made 5 threads that says "Posts" and those are on the left column. Then, I have 589 replies on the right column which, of course, says "Replies". I understand now. 😉
shareYeah. I mean, really, I would agree that replies and posts are the same thing as well; however, for the sake of putting opinion on something that it is not, is clearly wrong. What the total count IS are replies and posts because of what you see on your profile. We can "call it" whatever we want, but the total is not going to be what we write that it should be.
