Imagine Seinfeld Coming Back

Imagine Seinfeld filming a new season, and releasing it via netflix or hulu. Would make so much money, it would be ridiculous.

No, it's time is over. Let's see néw things with creativity to them, not rehashes.

I'd be totally against that. It's better to leave great shows as they ended rather than digging them up and trying to reanimate them. In fact one problem with a lot of TV shows is that they're forced to drag on way past their prime. It's best to end it while it's good.

Yeah, I think it's better left alone. I did love the fictional Seinfeld reunion show in Curb Your Enthusiasm's seventh season, though. Strange that that was like seven or eight years ago.

reply

I loved Seinfeld too but I'm getting sick of this trend of bringing back shows long after they're finished. Once a show has run it's course they should let it rest.

reply

NO, NEVER! It wouldn't work at all. Too many gadgets. They would not be interesting.

Those people are already richer than some countries....they don't need money and it would be humiliating for them to return to their former roles (except for that weird one that went all racist onstage...)

reply

Seinfeld was like a time capsule of its era. Too much in society has changed for it to have the same feel.

reply

agreed. Although I think King of Queens would work with Leah and Kevin again. His new show was awful because she wasnt in it.

Uh, no thanks. I know I'm in the minority, but I didn't like it the first time around. To me it was about four whiny, irritating, self-centered narcissists, and was not funny.
