Delete your IMDb account.

Make a real stand about Amazon's shamelessly corporate move.

Between Moviechat, Letterboxd and others, IMDb is NOT necessary. It thrives on nothing more than its fame, which can fade, and the hard (and uncompensated) labour of its users, which it no longer deserves.

I've deleted my IMDb account, and I say good riddance.

Hi CoriSCapnSkip, ah OK well I guess that explains it, if you posted your suggestions to the imdb boards while logged in with your now-deleted account, then they most likely would have terminated it with extreme prejudice because of that!

I was certainly not as prolific a contributor as you, but I have been going through and requesting deletions for my few contributions over the years, mainly goofs, trivia and quotes. Interestingly some of them are being processed immediately, others not. There's no way to force the issue if they don't delete a contribution unfortunately, but I have been giving my reason quite plainly in each case (similar wording to what I suggested above).

When I've finished going through the list I will delete my account, but hey, if they delete it earlier idc because I have backed up all my various watch lists, and there really is nothing else that an imdb account is good for any more apart from watch lists!

It's really hard deleting all the reviews, ratings and watch lists LOL but I did it .
It takes too much time and patience .

You did good, Jaouad-El! At least imdb makes it easy to see everything you've contributed over the years with their listing at https://contribute.imdb.com/updates/history

I found I could just click on each of them and it brings up the original contribution again, after which I just change the dropdown selection to "Delete", and then click "Re-Check" as usual, after which you get to the point where it asks for the reason. I've been writing various reasons there, eg.

"I contributed this goof some time ago. It has come to my attention that you have recently deleted the contributions of millions of hard-working members (who over the last 15 years have given willingly of their time and effort to build up imdb.com into a major website) despite a considerable effort by members to impress upon you the importance of keeping the community contributions for the benefit of the movie and TV loving public. Subsequently, I no longer wish my contributions to be used for the benefit of Amazon or its related business, Internet Movie Database. Kindly remove this goof, thank you."

I used some various reasons too, like: I can't be part of a website that doesn't respect its users or You could just take down anything you want at any time, therefore I will take back anything I wrote at any time ...
