Trump endorsed by sex offender during New Jersey rally

I guess that makes sense given that Trump was found civilly liable in court last year for sexual abuse. MAGA’s finest….

Some conservatives are calling out Donald Trump, who on Saturday brought on stage a man who once pleaded guilty to charges of sexual misconduct and sex with an underage prostitute.

Trump spoke at a rally in New Jersey over the weekend. The former president was criticized for mistaking Beijing for Taiwan, as well as for slurring his words while speaking.

But the next day, some on the internet are talking about someone Trump brought on stage with him.

"I just wanted to say I grew up a Democrat and I've always been a Democrat until I met this man right here," former football player Lawrence Taylor said from the stage on Saturday. "He will not have to worry nobody in my family ever voting for a Democrat again."

Taylor, a Hall-of-Fame linebacker who played for the New York Giants, also has a checkered legal past.

According to The Daily Mail's report, "In addition to numerous drug-related arrests, the former University of North Carolina star declared bankruptcy in 1998 and has had at least two stints in drug rehab. He was also arrested following a 2009 hit-and-run crash in the Miami area, although no one was injured."

It continues:

"He was arrested the following year and later pleaded guilty to misdemeanor charges of sexual misconduct and sex with an underage prostitute. He received a sentence of six-years' probation, but was ultimately arrested in 2022 for failing to report an address change."

Trump also promoted Lawrence after the event itself.

"Thank you for joining us, Lawrence Taylor and Otis 'OJ' Anderson!" Trump wrote after the rally.

Conservative Army Iraq War Veteran Peter Henlein had a problem with the chosen optics.

"Today the the GOP nominee for president gave a speech in New Jersey. He bought a registered sex offender on stage with him. MAGA!" he wrote.

@mmpadellan chimed in:

"I'm not sure I understand how your candidate having a registered sex offender endorse him in front of hundreds of people is supposed to upset us. It actually reminds folks that Trump was found liable for sexual assault. Go ahead, get Bill Cosby's endorsement too. Morons."

@ArtCandee added, "In case you forgot, Lawrence Taylor pleaded guilty in 2011 to sexual misconduct and patronizing a prostitute and served 6 years of probation."
