Yep. And I think I know how the Nazi propaganda party did it to everyday Germans in the 1930s. They may have not had the internet or tv, but the methods they used were effective, nonetheless. They used radio, newspapers, magazines, posters, live entertainment on stage, books, teachers talking to the kids at school about it, townhall meetings, etc. Just like today, they played on the German people's beliefs and insecurities/fears, as well as their dislike of Jews, and kept telling them what they wanted to hear, rather than the truth. That's how propaganda works. It tells you what you want to hear, presents "new information" that you didn't know about (which usually isn't true at all, but it looks truthful), makes it look cool to think a certain way, presents catchphrases that people find cool to use, and teaches you to love or hate something or a group of people. I have no doubt Goebbels studied psychology as well as how advertisers worked to get people to to think a certain way.
