Putin should have eaten a bullet instead of starting the war in Ukraine.

reply

Why are you people so uninterested in the truth? Do you even exist outside of a computer program? Frickin' mindless troll.

reply

No-one's gunna sit and watch these random 50+ minute discussions you put up over and over

reply

its amazing that Biden had foreknowledge of the impending war.

Putin could attack Ukraine on Feb. 16, Biden told allies

this war was already pre-approved so the Bidens could launder money to Ukraine.

reply

It's not that amazing, Jo.

Everyone could see the obvious troop buildup. You can't hide invasion forces in 2023.

reply

then Ukraine should have been let into NATO before Putin invaded, problem solved.

reply

Uh, no, because that's not how NATO works. You can't just let someone in. They have to meet entry requirements, and then every member nation has to approve them. And Ukraine trying to get in probably would've caused Putin to invade anyway.

reply

well then NATO should be disbanded. problem solved.

reply

The purpose of NATO is to be a united defence bloc against (mostly Russian) aggression and intimidation primarily against Eastern Europe - and to maintain US military power and presence with allies.

If you're an isolationist, then I imagine you don't care much about that.

reply

"Mearsheimer was opposed to that decision because he saw that Ukraine without a nuclear deterrent would likely be subjected to aggression by Russia. As early as 1993, he suggested that Ukraine should retain its nuclear weapons as a deterrent."

That's true. Now we must defend Ukraine because of the agreement we made. A promise is a promise!

reply

Just watched Mearsheimer's video about how we got into all of this. This guy really is brilliant.
