Most Hated Films (What Are Yours?)

In my view, there are the worst films of all time (this is technically speaking so garbage like The Asylum puts out) and my personal most hated films. Films, that technically are not the worst ever but they infuriate me so much that I hate those films. There are valid reasons for this as well, enough talk, here's some of the films that I consider my most hated.

1. Hard Candy/The Thing (2011)
2. A Nightmare on Elm Street (2010)
3. The Hole (2001)
4. Cosmopolis
5. Colombiana
6. Rob Zombie's Halloween 1 & 2
7. The Green Inferno
8. Red State
9. Dirty Grandpa
10. Sex Tape
11. Apollo 18
12. Joshua
13. My Soul to Take
14. Freedomland
15. Terminator: Genisys
16. The Expendables 3
17. Sinister (I know a lot disagree with this one)
18. Planet of the Apes (2001)
19. Spider Man 3
20. Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Beginning
21. The Boy (2015, indie film not the recent horror film even though that was a piece of crap too)
22. R.I.P.D.
23. Identity Thief
24. Cop Out
25. They (2002)

Dishonorable mentions:
The Final Destination
Freddy's Dead
Passion
Sorority Row

I know a lot of films I put on the list are recent, what can I say, most films recently suck. I also know all of these films have many fans but I'm certainly not in the fan club for these. What are your most hated films?

Hello boredconnoisseur :-)
As to no. 19 of your list - of course this one isn't quite as good as the original movie; later parts of the "series" I found to be outright crappy; but I think Halloween II wasn't THAT bad...
And even had all other actors performed like absolute beginners - which they didn't, IMHO - I like Donald Pleasence's performance very much!*) Halloween II had an impressing "showdown". It was really "sufficiently final", to put it that way...
Consequently all of the later parts were just a big waste of money (and an ordeal to the viewer's patience and logical sense! ;-)
To sum up, Pt. II is quite watchable as long as one doesn't expect too much. Not a masterwork, but still above average, I think...
Kind regards

*) ...and the synchro of "Dr. Loomis" in German is perfect. One of those cases where the synchro voice fitted to the actor like "a glove to the hand"!

U-Turn (1997)

A truly awful rip-off of the fine 1993 movie "Red rock west".

Awful story that goes nowhere, Sean Penn as hnis usual loathsome self, and a script that seems like it was written by my dweeby self when I was 12... just awful.

Wow. A lot of what's listed here is already on my shit list. Here's some more I despise:

1. Mean Girls 2
2. Mike and Dave Need Wedding Dates
3. Captain America: The First Avenger
4. Avatar – both the airbender one and and the James Cameron one
5. Ghost Rider – this one more than the others, but pretty much dislike all Nick Cage movies excepting Face-Off and The Weather Man
6. Barely Lethal
7. Love Actually
8. Pan
9. The Amazing Spider Man
10. Enchanted
11. The Lovely Bones

There's so many more, but this oughta do.

Hello kcott44,
there are many - but for the moment I'd like to mention just four:
1) Funny Games - this is so unsettling from start to finish! Considering that there really ARE such psychopaths somewhere out there, who commit similar crimes, I thought, why on earth should someone depict such bastards in a 90-odd minutes full-length movie? Who might get any gratification from watching this?? Just don't understand the point...
2) The Possession of Joel Delaney - I collect movies with talented young actors, and I like good horror movies too* - overall this one wasn't bad indeed, the storyline was really good; but the final scenes I found SO MUCH over the top, it was just gross! I haven't got any aversion against some n*dity - innocent European style :-) included in a movie with a young actor or actress; but, in this particular case I think it should have better been omitted!
3) Though this might provoke a sh*tstorm upon me... I must say although many people consider this one as a very good movie, I don't like Inglourious Basterds at all. Among other reasons, I don't like the shameless depiction of all sorts of War Crimes to be seen in that movie. War is full of cruelty all the time, of course, but again, this was "over the top".
4) Kauwboy - the story is told in such beautiful and tender pictures all over, just touching; I liked Rick Lens' performance - and then, some minutes before the final credits it comes to a shocking end. Well, I didn't really expect a Disney-like sappy ending (100% Happy End), but THIS was a saddening, disappointing end...
*) On the contrary, here's an example for a very good horror movie which has (in my humble opinion) a near-to-perfect performance of a boy actor: The Believers. Harley Cross - wonderful... (It should be mentioned that most of the adult actors, too, gave very good performances!) Always enjoyed this one - very intense feeling of threat, suspense, and fear throughout. Extremely well done.
Kind regards
