CGI movies with big budgets are here to stay. The last time such a need for change occurred was in the late 60s. Things will get better, but I don't know when exactly. But though remakes will have to end, CGI, it's something that will have to be tolerated at worst.

He was just someone who had a mental breakdown after being part of something big. I guess you could also say he quoted the Bhagavad Gita. That's about it. Up to Nolan to stretch this premise into 3 hours.
It's going to have an okay opening, but I doubt it will be the box office megahit that many fans are hoping. Woods might be just chuckling or smiling his way to the bank.
I agree that Nolan should have won for Inception. Back then there was nobody to touch him. But I don't really like his artistic choices.

I liked watching the movie even if I did not understand most of it. It was an exercise on my mind and its limits. Had to read the plot summary to understand the script.
I'd like to see Albert Einstein (no not the Brook one) being given such treatment. He deserves it. He ought to have won another Nobel Prize.

Keaton was misused. They should not have made him into a regular Batman, because he was old. His action scenes were unbelievable, and not in a good way.

Asimov was no saint, but he did not deserve to die the way he did. I like a couple of his books. He is one of the big three of 50s science fiction. That will always be true.
I didn't enjoy watching it. I was being fair in my own way. For a movie to be worth 7.5 stars it would have to be better than merely being solid. Just my opinion.
