Beth is just a miserable person, period. From childhood, all she did was cry and whine and feel sorry for herself and it's probably why her mother was getting so frustrated with her. Except for Kayce and his wife and child, I agree. I hope Jaimie and Kayce come out on top. John don't deserve neither one of them. And Beth isn't that innocent. I remembered when she got on Kayce and told him to go back to the reservation. Seems to me that Beth was trying to push both Kayce and Jaime away from John so she could be the only one controlling things. And the judge is a very biased Obama appointed judge at that. He needs to be disbarred. So they say. But yet it's Lee that is never in the family photos. Curious. It's not the whole ranch, just the original ranch house is being given to Rip. The rest of the ranch is still to be divided up among Beth, Kayce and Jamie, and then eventually to be passed down to their children. Thing is, Jamie saw a loop hole to take away everything Beth had legalized, so everything she did could be void in the eyes of the law. The land still pretty much in the original contractual agreement that could leave Rip out of the original ranch house. Be curious if Jamie would take that away from him, because he always treated Rip like an equal. I can't see Rainwater killing animals. I think it's all Wila and Roarke behind the ranch attack and the attack on Kayce and Beth. I think Jamie's father is the one behind the attack on John. Curious though, whatever is happening, Jamie doesn't look happy with his bio dad. I think Wila is behind Beth and Kayce, but John was targeted by Jamie's bio father. Reason why I don't think Jamie was targeted is either because he was with the governor who is highly protected, or they know he is the only one trying to sell the ranch and maybe even setting him up to be the fall guy. Well, considering the subject matter, it's going to be depressing unless you are a complete psychopath. But it has it's moments. The episode where they have to move across the street to a bank because of a gas leak is particularly entertaining. Can't use actor's real age to try and determine what the character's age is. In the show, Pembleton is obviously older than Bayliss, but in real life, Andre Braugher is actually younger than Kyle Secor. All I know is that Bayliss is 37 by the time he gets shot (the medical staff working on him says this while caring for him). Agreed. Law And Order is better overall because both the law AND the order part are well represented. SVU has good cops, but the DA's are lackluster until Barba and Carisi came around, but they are still no where near on the level of Sam Waterson's Jack McCoy. I liked Barba on there, but when he left, I lost interest in the show. People just don't understand. It was a calling for him. It's something you cannot ignore. Just like parents who take on jobs that are life threatening like being a combat soldier, police, firefighter, etc. And, this calling was making him go nuts. If he never followed up, he would have truly gone psychotic. Him leaving Earth was the best thing he could have done, for all parties. Agreed. This show was meant to be watched with a family, and not to be taken seriously. With all the complaints on this thread, the "negativity", this is EXACTLY why IMDB shut their boards down. He is playing the same character to me. He was quick to yell at Jamie for not handling the cow right, he was kind of mean with Beth when he found her, and he already had Jamie's future decided without consulting him first. He was even tough with Rip. This is why Beth didn't go to him when she got pregnant. She was afraid of him. Afraid what he would do to her and to Rip. Funny you say that, because I was talking to my friends on how the Duttons are very much like the Lannister. John is easily Tywin, he uses his kids like pawns to keep the family name and reputation going. Beth is Cersei, who does everything she can to help her father and the name of the family, but is held back because she is a woman. Jamie is Tyrion, no matter what he does, he will always be a disappointment to his father and never good enough. Kayce is Jaime, the golden child who is the only one who really loves Jamie. But he's not as ass like GOT Jaime, his personality leans more towards Jon Snow.
