Turning into Game of Thrones?

WTF is up with the season finale of Yellowstone? (spoiler alert) Jeers to the showrunner who scheduled the deaths (or suggested but left unresolved deaths) of 4 major characters in the LAST 8 Minutes of the finale!! Did you really think we wouldn’t be on tenterhooks unless you left us all hanging for what—a year before you can produce 10 more episodes around this pandemic?

How much more like GoT does it get when the main characters get shot, blown up or break their necks, while there are so many frenemies and enemies left standing and just as many family loose ends left as the ones that were tied off by that cataclysm of an ending?

Ok, I’m done b****ing about the finale. But it was a really cruel thing to do to your fans!

Some of the best stories have no happy end. It's about the journey, not the destination!

No if it were GoT this would be episode 9 and the season finale would be a bookend and lay groundwork for the next season. That was one of the best things about the show, they didn't do the normal cheap cliff hanger season finales like they just did with this show.

I am a big fan of the series and waiting for the next one. All selected characters are just amazed performance and hardwork. Truly appreciable series of the history.

It was over the top even for this show. I also can't see the show working without any of the affected characters (except Jimmy maybe) so it is kind of pointless because unlike GOT I don't think they are about to kill any main characters yet.

Funny you say that, because I was talking to my friends on how the Duttons are very much like the Lannister.

John is easily Tywin, he uses his kids like pawns to keep the family name and reputation going.
Beth is Cersei, who does everything she can to help her father and the name of the family, but is held back because she is a woman.
Jamie is Tyrion, no matter what he does, he will always be a disappointment to his father and never good enough.
Kayce is Jaime, the golden child who is the only one who really loves Jamie. But he's not as ass like GOT Jaime, his personality leans more towards Jon Snow.

It's just the usual soap opera, with the requisite violence, cussing, and random violent sex. That's it. Otherwise, it's just about throwing a bunch of storylines out there, and trying to keep them going ad infinitum so they can crank out as many seasons as possible. Until it all runs out of steam.

That's a good assessment. I tend to like shows that have an outdoor setting, and Yellowstone has a few sympathetic characters, but it's over wrought.
