LOL. Enjoy! RIP. Goodbye and thanks for the movies. The Fall of the House of Usher was one of the scariest movies I saw as a kid. Too bad he didn't quite reach the big 100. So close. Digital filming... that's the problem with movies nowadays. Maybe we need an old school filmmaker. Yeah, seems like Max von Sydow who played mostly old guys for his whole career. I don't care how he looks, though, because he works behind the camera after all. I wish him a long life. Love many of his movies (Halloween, Prince of Darkness, The Thing, Christine, Starman, etc...) Who gives a shit. Yeah, true. Yeah, because the alternative versions are usually an option and the original works aren't erased from existence like Star Wars trilogy. Sure, someone like Chaplin revisited his works later on, but Lucas ain't Chaplin kind of genius. Hell, he didn't even direct The Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi. Not before the unaltered original trilogy will be made available (legally) to the public again. Phew, Watchmen would have been a total waste of time if Cruise was in it. I think the ending felt a bit empty because we lost the great supporting cast for last few episodes. Bob Odenkirk could carry the show all by himself, but I missed the supporting cast. Maybe they'll make a shitty prequel (on streaming) that explains it for people who can't come up with their own explanations. "I have no further interest in future installments and will relish in Connery -era Bonds." You're only 50 years late with your message. No, I was somewhat disappointed with ROTJ even back in 1983. The Empire Strikes Back just raised the bar too high. The space action and Luke's final confrontation with Vader was great, though. Yes, it is. And not afraid of offending someone. No, Bill Conti's score alone saves a lot. This is quite front heavy movie actionvise, there's a lot of great action scenes in the first half. Yeah, I agree. He was one of my favourite characters in the show. One of many. "the average moviegoer wasn't clamoring for a 3 hour movie about a serial killer" Yeah, and who wasn't even caught in the end... Probably because people swallowed the hype surrounding the film about the first "real" art director in the franchise. Also the 50th anniversary of the Bond franchise probably helped a lot. In fact, many of Sam Mendes' choices ruined the end of Daniel Craig's story as Bond. Quantum of Solace was still okay in retrospect. Now 12 years later, I enjoy mostly Adele's song and the conversation scene between Bond and Severine at the casino from this movie and that's about it. I don't expect very deep movie knowledge from Tom Cruise fans, but you could have told which version did you see, at least.
