Is this the most boring Bond flick of the 20th Century?

I think it's either this or DAF.

What do you think?

I think that I always liked this movie quite a bit but to be honest there are some real lulls in it. I find myself nowadays just skipping to the Greece segments of the film as I like them much more than the winter scenes. I enjoy the underwater parts and you can't forget 007's most cold-blooded scene when he kicks Locke's car over the cliff. Brutal.

Perhaps one of my favorite Bond franchise moments is when Bond and the girl are being dragged by Kristatos' boat with the sharks. Cool scene.

Neither - The Living Daylights it he most boring, imo.

reply

No, it's one of my favorites.

I felt generous rating it a 5/10 on IMDB.

Boring, phony, predictable, poorly acted all 'round.

Then there's the unnecessary characters of Bibi and her instructor.

I skipped from about 30:00 in to the last 15 minutes and figured I missed nothing.

One of the best theme songs, though, esp. featuring images of Sheena Easton in the opening credits.

No, Bill Conti's score alone saves a lot. This is quite front heavy movie actionvise, there's a lot of great action scenes in the first half.

reply

No. It’s fucking awesome.

For boring ‘Bond’ check out that 3 hour misery-fest that was Craig’s final outing. In fact all his films, apart from the masterpiece that is Casino Royale, are pretty dull.

reply

Not IMO. Right now it's the one I prefer to watch, but that changes over time.
