Lyne released Deep Water last year on HULU that was an average thriller with Ben Affleck. Brest has not done anything since the box office and critical disaster Gigli. However, he states that he is independently wealthy and makes movies just for fun.
Yes. This had a decent budget and was widely theatrically released. His straight to DVD is near unwatchable low budget crap, but at least the producers know not to release it in theatres.
The Oscars are a joke now, but every once in a while they get it right.

Please explain what has been debunked about Whedon. He has even admitted to several of his misdeeds and close cast and crew members confirmed the allegations. I do not approve of cancelling anyone and he is probably taking a break until people start targeting another celebrity to crush.
I have not heard of the transsexual rape scene. I do hear the director confirm the alternate ending and Gosling’s character killing his associate Gordon after he found out Gordonslept with his mom.
Yes. He is a predator. His career will never be repaired. However, he has already shot two movies since the allegations. One in Italy and a thriller called Peter Five Eight. I do not think the later will get distribution, which is fine because the trailer looked like a made for TV movie from the 90s.
Depp is stupid with money and an alcoholic, but not an abuser. Whedon was always a bully, who criticized and looked down on anyone who did not share his views. He cheated on his partner, screamed at women who were part of his productions, manipulated, and gaslit people. Both not great people, but Depp definitely is not the monster Whedon is.

Carnahan does lower and mid budget films. He has never really done big budget other than the A-Team. A-Team and Stretch were not really good but everything else he did is pretty good.
He is also very outspoken. He insulted a critic who panned El-Chicano. He complained about Death Wish saying that Bruce Willis will make the director his slave (it was before Eli Roth was the director).
Just curious, why do you think that Arthur Leigh Allen was not the Zodiac killer. Personally, I think he did not perform all the Zodiac murders.

Thank you. I will give both a try. I have seen Hard to Kill and it was not really that bad. It is definitely over the top and unbelievable (you are not conscious for more than even a few minutes once you wake out of a years long coma or able to move any of your limbs for days), but so is Commando and that is a fun movie.
I would not waste my time responding to brux. He is a close minded person who hates anyone who does not agree with him. He was even posted how me was happy when James Caan died. He also lies saying he is an engineer. The guy posts about eighty times a day, you would not be getting anything accomplished. He focuses all his energy on moviechat.
Whedon is the screenwriter for the movie. He has never stopped bitching about how the director failed in his attempt to adapt his script.
Yeah. He used to be fun director. I have liked all his films (except his kid films and Machete Kills). I think their was no promotion for this movie, because they realized the story was terrible. It’s as if two kids are playing and one says I cut your arm off and the other says no I have rejuvenation powers. The film is like that for 90 minutes and it never gets any better.
It was a terrible movie. I saw it for free and was angry that I wasted my time with it.
