I saw a little bit of Village of the Damed on tv and did not care for it. Carpenter later told an interviewer he did it as a contractual assignment and he was not emotional involved in the film and it is one of his least favorite movies. It is a shame because half his movies are great to good and the other half are downright bad. From what I heard he got burned out and lost his passion in the late 90s and 2000s. I actually liked it. If you want to be very disappointed with a Carpenter film there is always Ghost of Mars and Escape from LA. I don’t think Scorsese needed DiCaprio at all to get funding. He was able to get funding for an over 3 hour $200 million dollar film several years ago. If Scorsese asks DiCaprio will do it. I just was hoping they would put more focus on Plemmons FBI agent as he is arguably one of the co-leads. Also having read the book, DiCaprio character is not the main character. His role in the book is very small but pivotal, so I am guessing Scorsese rewrote the movie to give him a much bigger part. Not sure how this will work out for the movie in terms of the story. Never noticed til now. But yes he does sound like him at times. Yeah. If you ever watch any interviews with Friedkin, he speaks his mind and does not hold back. He is also very funny. I would of loved to hear what he thought about the finished product, because David Gordon Green use to be a great filmmaker, but the last two Halloween movies were embarrassing. You have brought your political opinions into other chat boards. If it was hating on Trump you would be all for it. People are going to have different opinions and you need to accept it. Why? Because they don’t like the President and he is doing a terrible job. Good catch. Also good catch in replying to a thread that I already received at answer to three years ago. Maybe you “should have” not said anything. Fair enough. I was just hoping there is a Disney or age appropriate movie I can show her that she may like and she has not seen 10 times. Well, the reason I was asking was I am watching my 6 year old niece on Saturday and wanted to know if is something she can enjoy watching with me or if she will be bored to death. She is too young for the Elephant Man and Dune, so I figured this could be her introduction to David Lynch. I would rather have her watch something she has never seen than put on Encanto or Moana which she has seen over 10 times. LOL. I came in with low expectations and still thought the movie was terrible. It says a lot when a studio dumps movie in theaters with a well established actor with zero publicity. I did not see one trailer for this movie. Thank you. I might give this one a look. Is the original any good? This was pretty bad and lifeless. AVPR is a terrible and laughably bad film that is one of mostly darkly shot films I have ever seen Lyne released Deep Water last year on HULU that was an average thriller with Ben Affleck. Brest has not done anything since the box office and critical disaster Gigli. However, he states that he is independently wealthy and makes movies just for fun. Yes. This had a decent budget and was widely theatrically released. His straight to DVD is near unwatchable low budget crap, but at least the producers know not to release it in theatres. The Oscars are a joke now, but every once in a while they get it right. You only see it on one side. Compassion and empathy is not political. It is emotional and different based on every person. Please explain what has been debunked about Whedon. He has even admitted to several of his misdeeds and close cast and crew members confirmed the allegations. I do not approve of cancelling anyone and he is probably taking a break until people start targeting another celebrity to crush.
