Because that was no ordinary wolf. One does not turn into a wolf just by being bitten by an ordinary wolf. Especially since there wasn't supposed to be any wolves in that state anymore (people in the movie have a hard time believing him when he says it was a wolf and we saw LOTS of wolf eyes looking back at him when he went back to his car). It was someone who got turned and had enhanced healing abilities as it was also a full moon... just like we see Will turn completely at the very end of the movie (the cycle repeating itself). I enjoyed how he became more of a fighter as well. It's funny because I watched it yesterday and thought that many of the changes he experiences have the same benefits that the NoFappers promote: More confident and assertive, more drive and energy, better focus, more attractive to women, stop hair loss and even sometimes reverse the process, lol. It was not switching from night and day, but from season to season. It was the solstices that we saw each time. I have no idea what year it was... but it probably wasn't less than what you are guessing. Yes, I do think the human looked evolved and exactly how I always thought they'd evolve. I don't know why you think humans would get smaller as they consistently kept getting taller and bigger throughout history. Basically through the abundance of food (agriculture, breeding and then research science helped tremendously), that keep on feeding infants with sufficient and better nutrients for optimal growth and development. I don't see this tendency reversing.. except if, for whatever reason, we end up being unable to provide the species with the optimal abundance of food and essential nutrients. When you talk about the 21st century humans.. you mean the survivors at the end of the movie? If so, I think they were probably allowed to live among the rest of the more evolved humans but under supervision, of course. When the girl (can't recall which one) says, smiling to Furby, that they are pretty popular, it suggests that they are the object of curiosity and probably study too but in "cool and relaxed" way. That's how I see it at least. You speak about people from the Ice Age having trouble to function today. That's true. The 21st century humans will probably have a lot to learn in order to function on Mars with the more evolved humans. But just as it may be possible (I guess) to communicate with cave men through signs and patience, it will probably be the same here. Maybe even a little easier since 21st century humans can easily learn and express languages verbally. I did not see Night of the Creeps to do a comparison but I agree that this movie kind of sucks. I just saw The Last Starfighter last week and Catherine Mary Stewart caught my eye and I wanted to see more of her. I thought the action was "meh" and the intrigue was also very "meh" with lazy plot development. Since the movie was pretty simple, I did not expect the twist with the team of scientists, so that was on the positive side. That and the fact that I did not recognize a young Chakotay! It was a very lukewarm movie... but I liked the two sisters a lot. There was just something about them that, along with nostalgia, makes me want to seek more 80's titles with them. I wish I saw these movies when they came out. I can very well imagine my 9 year old self fantasize about these girls. Now being 35 years late, I feel I've been missing out badly. So for all these multiple reasons, even though I don't consider "Night of the Comet" a good movie, I'm still glad I watched it. To me, that's absolutely not a bad thing. ^_^ Maybe it'll force Tarantino to be a little more creative to stay on top of the mountain. I grew tired of that recurrent revenge theme... I agree with you. Although I thought the duration of the movie was perfect. To me it was obviously Tarantino inspired but not copied. I thought of it as an original, cleaner, "revengeless" Tarantino. It had a Jackie Brown little vibe to it. Anyway! I was glad as I do love these sorts of movies and I really enjoyed this one a lot! Really? I thought exactly the contrary. I'm easily bored and I regularly complain about movies being too long. It wasn't a problem with this one, though. My attention was grabbed from the start and never left. I thought it was fast paced and the twists were surprising and came quickly, new characters were constantly introduced... I don't know... to me it was perfect. My guess was that it was J. Edgar Hoover himself who previously got a room and maybe did some cross-dressing in there with a little "friend". When Sullivan was on the phone with him and told him about the film, it suddenly became of utmost importance (fuck the kidnapping in progress, gotta get that tape no matter what!). Plus, it would fit well with the spirit of the movie, I think. And they're changing key aspects from the original story too. It's different enough to portray Aunt May as a dark haired sexy mature woman but she isn't supposed to know Peter is Spider-Man either. Changing characters this much... why not also change her name like they did with MJ ? The way I understood it, in the end, was that Kane AND Lena were both mutant clones from the Shimmer. When she asked him if he was "really Kane", he answered "I don't think so". That could be why Lena went to hold him since it probably made them feel less alone since they were two unique creatures from the Shimmer. And I do get these mutation/replication things but what about the tattoo that magically appeared on Lena's arm? As I remember it, only Anya had it in the beginning. And tattoos don't change any DNA structure so replication/mutation couldn't do that, I think. Would the Shimmer "see" that on Anya's arm and then mutate Lena's DNA to make the design appear on her arm? Maybe but that wouldn't make sense. If someone has a satisfactory explanation about the tattoo, please do share. Completely agreeing to this. Look back at it, this movie had a lot of potential. But all we have to explain it are suppositions. Thought the end would kind of save it but it didn't. It was too slow and did not do enough to keep me interested... therefore: boring. Agreeing with the [deleted] account just above and with zeesha. Plus, it was a none graphic scene. In a world where nudity and full frontals are now a common thing on television, I really don't get how a 30 seconds non-explicit intimacy scenes in a movie can be seen as something problematic... especially if it shows us new details about what was going on between characters. Which is just another proof it's a crap movie. Movies you need to get fucked up to enjoy = shit movies.
