Movie was Fun but I thought KOTM and something like Pacific Rim were Better.

I felt those two films at least had serious tones and better to fun to more useful characters established in the plot than what we got here.

The fights in GVK are great. Some of the best but the human element was very disappointing with the exception of the little girl and her sign language relationship with Kong. Everything else was very under developed.

Like you have a character called Ren Serizawa whose meant to be the son of the guy from the last film and is working for the badguys to destroy Godzilla yet we're never told he is that dude's son and he's motivations and character are never explained at all. Its so weird that was in the film in the first place and makes it very obvious there was tons of character building cut from the final movie.

I guess the studio just wanted the film to jump straight into the action but at least with the last film it felt like every character served a purpose and wasn't there to just crack jokes. Halfway through the film you suddenly have that one awesome black dude from John Wick and Lost show up without any explanation or reason. He's just there with Monarch. Like...giving me some proper backstory and world building. Everything felt rushed. Its hands down the weakest Monsterverse movie for me.

Despite everything that happened in the previous films, those at least felt somewhat familiar with the serious tone and atmosphere. This just felt like a proper saturday morning action cartoon which isn't bad but its not brilliant either and leaves much to be desired. Not to mention I kinda enjoy the heavy-ness of the way monsters moved in previous films or like Pacific Rim. Felt like the monsters here had no weight to them.
