Also the whole viral website and stuff that went along with it. So many people in myself straight up thought this was going to be so real. Until shortly before I came out they revealed that it wasn't real. But there are still many people who think it is real
No it was not. The original website the story was that after the police gave up looking for the students, Heather's mother submitted it to haxton films and gave permission to put it together and make it into a movie to spread the word about her missing daughter and friends. Which was the story for the reason why it was an actual movie in theaters.
